1. Does it mean that they aren't using the Joint Sponsor? (Screenshot 👇)

2. Step 10 (here) states that applicants "do not need to bring [their] Affidavit of Support or financial evidence [they] submitted to NVC.
Is this accurate? I've seen multiple accounts here mentioning that they bring thei sponsor's updated I-864 + Financial Evidence to the interview.

I would bring ALL documents to the interview (even if it says that online). The worst that could happen is that they won't ask for them. But just bring them to be safe.

Hmm, as far as the joint sponsor, not sure honestly. What does your message say in the inbox? Is it simply "DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED" or did they say something in addition to that.

Yeah, that’s what I’m planning to do. Just wondering why there’s a discrepancy.

And yup, got the Documentarily Qualified message in the inbox.

The consulate has final say over what is required at their interview. Follow their instructions which will be emailed once they have the application in hand. The usual is “ the original and a photocopy of all documents submitted to CEAC / NVC”. Better to have and not need than …..

The interviewing officer will determine if the joint sponsor is needed

Got it, thanks.

Just want to inform our joint sponsor if they're on the hook for the AOS

What happened with this? I'm in the same situation and am curious!

We're still 2 weeks away from our interview but after a few days of seeing Submitted for my joint sponsor, the status turned to Accepted.
