Guangzhou green card interview scheduling? (can't schedule)

The long slog (2+ years now) toward green cards for my wife's parents continues. They were scheduled to have their interview at the Guangzhou consulate last fall, but Covid travel restrictions (they couldn't leave their city) meant that we had to cancel the initial interview.

 

So now we need to use ustraveldocs to schedule their interview. We have been trying for almost a month now, checking multiple times a day, but the scheduling system continues to state that there are no interview times available. We wrote to the consulate, but they referred us back to ustraveldocs. We have called ustraveldocs twice, but they continue to refer us to the online scheduling system. Anyone else also having difficulties scheduling and/or have advice on how to schedule? There are some posts here from 5-6 years ago stating that the embassy released appt times in the early afternoon local time--is there still a release time for appointments? Many thanks in advance!

Just wanted to give this a bump--are we the only ones having scheduling issues in Guangzhou?

I don't (unfortunately) have an answer to your question, but when my stepdaughter went through Guangzhou, they sent us an email with the appointment time and date, we had no opportunity to schedule it. It would've been nice to be able to schedule it, since her appointment was scheduled for 17 days from the date of the email 😑

 

There are a few facebook and wechat groups that have a lot more activity for current applicants - I would take a peak there.

bumping this up, northusa44, did you have any luck on rescheduling? I'm in the same boat as you, today is my first day to reschedule, so far no luck.
