CR1 went DQ on Feb 6 2023. How long is the typical wait time for interview in Manila these days?

Thank you!

There is no backlog at all for CR/IR interviews at USEM these days.  2 to 4 weeks to get an interview date would be typical.  If your case DQ Feb 6, it would be reasonable to expect to get an interview date at USEM 'soon'.

Thank you. How far out are they scheduling interview dates these days? I'm getting close to the end of our lease in a few months and not sure if I should be renewing or if it's realistic to be on the way to USA at that point.

Lately US Embassy Manila has been handing out expedites for fairly trivial reasons or even randomly for no reason at all. If you email NVCExpedite@state.gov and explain the financial implications of you moving to the US sooner rather than later there is a reasonable chance USEM would approve your expedite.  That would also give you total control over scheduling the interview.

Even if you don't get expedited it should go quickly.  Saint Luke's Extension Clinic's x-ray machine is always a wild card though.

Should I email them now? Or wait until the file arrives in their office?

Thank you again, btw!

Go ahead and make the request now.  Just e-mail NVCExpedite@state.gov .  Make the subject like :Request Expedite MNL1231231231 Beneficiary’s name and date of birth.  Repeat it in the subject and explain your lease situation. Include a scan of the lease if you can. Financial hardship to the petitioner that a delay would cause would be a very good reason for them to expedite.

Hi! I'm also a CR1 recipient, can you please let me know how long did it take you to get DQ'ed after you uploaded and submitted all the documentations on the Ceac website? I just want to have an idea since I submitted everything last February 10th. Really appreciate it. Thank you!

There is also a VJ thread tracking that closely.  I have a friend outside of VJ who also submitted on Feb 10 so I'm keeping track too on their behalf.  Based on wild speculation and a few recent anecdotal accounts we are making a guesstimated prediction that a Feb 10 NVC submission would be reviewed around Feb 27.

What is the issue with their x-ray machine?

Something like 1 out of 7 Filipino visa applicants get flagged for "sputum testing" for TB when Saint Luke's crack team of x-ray checkers somewhat dubiously think they see a spot or a smudge or something.  That automatically leads to a 3 month delay for sputum testing which almost always turns out to NOT be TB.

But on the bright side 1 out of 7 odds with Saint Luke's x-ray machine is slightly better than Russian Roulette odds.

Do you know of anyone getting a pre -X-Ray test based on the same standards to refute that if it should happen?

Not a chance.  Saint Luke's Extension Clinic only takes their own x-rays.  Even if you had a fresh TB-free diagnosis from Saint Luke's Global City Hospital across town, Saint Luke's Extension Clinic would still take and evaluate their own x-rays.  If a Filipino adult wants an immigrant visa, they pretty much have to play a round with Saint Luke's x-ray machine.

Could you go to St Lukes Extension Clinic and just get an X-ray before you really have to go get the official X-ray for the visa requirement?

They could get their physical out of the way like 3 months before a predicted interview.  Then if they did get flagged, they could get the 3 month delay started  concurrently with waiting for the interview date.  The only potential downside is the physical expires in 6 months so if their guesstimate on when they might get an interview was wrong or there was any other unexpected delay traveling then the physical would need repeated.
