I am just wondering what the place is like - I've spoken to a family friend who lives in Philly, and she has told me how to get there, but she has no idea about parking, hotels, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

A few of us in AOS from Philly have been transfered to CSC. I'm going there tomorrow for Infopass. I think there should be off-street and metered parking in the area. I don't know which hotels to recommend though.

I think I may put my AAA to good use and see if they can't find a hotel (within our price range) near the federal building. The Windsor looks nice, but not so sure they are kid friendly :P

So I just looked where 1600 Callowhill St. is in Philly, and you should have no trouble finding a parking spot nearby. At worst you'll have to go to one of those privately owned parking lots where it's stupidly expensive. The one I usually go to is not in the same area but is $3.25 per 20 minutes with a maximum of $16.00... just to give you an idea. Otherwise there are metered spots almost everywhere provided you can find a free spot.

I can't help with the hotel situation though!

parking was never an issue for me I had to go about 4 yrs ago with a relative-several times). As for hotels.........I would try orbitz, cheaptickets or priceline. Some of the hotels in town are so expensive, but you might find a deal somewhere. If you do find a hotel-call them directly to see what the best price is!

good luck
