As I sit here in my office thinking and maybe you may help me out here.

Why in the heck does the vaccination report need to be transfered to another form?? Isn't the Dr. in Colmbia report valid enough? Heck, the US govt appointed only 2 Doctors that can give the medical exams in Colombia. Am I missing something here?

Let my tantrum continue.

Isn't obvious that we will be adjusting status?? I'm pretty sure that 99.999% of K1/K3 visa holders adjust their status at one point or another. Is this another attempt to milk my pocket book?

Also, if K visa holders do not need to take a full medical exam because of this very reason that they had their medicals done in the beneficiary's home country. What i'm trying to vent is...if the medical exam that was done abroad was good enough, why isn't the vaccination paperwork good enough?????????

You can avoid milking your pocket book.

Ask the doctor in Colombia to fill and sign this form and send it later with your AOS forms.

It worked for me

Good luck

Probably because some countries can't provide all the vaccination requirements and some have to be done here in the US.

There is no point to argue with this. It's all made so that only those who really want it and do really want to be with their spouse go throughout the all process.

Just do it and make sure that you only pay for the transfer as you don't need a full medical.

I just wish the consulates and USCIS would treat the K-Visas like the immigrant visas and require the vaccinations done in the foreign country before issuing the visa, this would eliminate the pain in the ### step of seeing the civil surgeon in the USA, most don't understand the K-Visas and insist on a full medical, or they do, but refuse to do the supplement without medical.

Emo:

You were lucky, most will get an RFE for the supplement or be asked to bring the supplement to the interview, the supplement must be done by a Civil Surgeon in the USA.

Yes, a K-1 does not need all the vaccines to get the visa, but to adjust status they do. That is why many people need to do the medical supplement. My then fiancee had all the required vaccinations at her medical so we just submitted the DS-3025 (or whatever it is) and we were fine.

I had tried to get the supplement to be safe but all the doctors in our area insisted on the complete medical so I said screw it, we will risk the RFE at the interview figuring the worst case would be that we would have to pay up for the unnecessary medical before our case was complete. Turned out we were fine.

A scam? I don't see how - it seems that those CS' that insist on a full medical are just ill informed. Although I suppose some of them know but pretend they don't.

Make it easy on yourself - mail it to Texas. Dr. Arnold will do it for $10. Took me about a week to get mine.

TracyTn,

Great info! I'd do it, but I am trying to beat the deadline at the end of the month. I dont think that will allow enough time. I'll give them a call and tell them and offer to pay for next day air delivery.

Well, luckily we got a CS that was ill informed in a good way. They didn't know what to charge for a vaccination supplement to be filled out so they did it for free :P We took those papers and ran out of the office before they could figure it out otherwise!

LOL..............that's hilarious!

Residents of foreign nations need a medical evaluation but not vaccinations in order to obtain a non-immigrant visa. Petitioners for adjustment of status need a medical evaluation and vaccines. Hence the 'problem'.

The K1 visa was designed to be fast, allowing adjustment of status and all its nuances to be completed in the US.

If you want to arrive in the US fully adjusted, then marry and file for CR1.

If you pick speed, there are some things you have to handle in the US. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
