They are usually good for one year.  There have been infrequent cases where for some reason USEM asked for one less than 6 months old but it is uncommon.

That's correct - every NBI clearance has an expiration date date and the Embassy takes notice of this. Same goes for the CENOMAR (i.e. must not be more than 1 year old) & tax returns as well.

Hello!

For those who had to undergo a repeat medical examination:

  • How long did it take for the Embassy to issue the visa after you sent it in the documents via courier?
  • Did they ask you for any additional documents on top of the medical exam? We'll also be sending a new NBI clearance, our latest tax returns/W-2, and a new CENOMAR (on top of uploading copies to the CEAC website - we just don't want them to issue yet another 221G due to these documents being expired, although they have not asked for them)

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

Once we receive the sputum test results by August 31, we will have completed our repeat medical exam (2nd time).

It is clear to us that we will also need to submit the following documents (even though the Embassy hasn't asked for them yet) as they will have expired:

  • CENOMAR
  • NBI Clearance
  • Tax Returns (the latest version the Embassy has are those for 2021 and I'm sure they will want to see 2022 tax returns too)

Besides this, is there anything else that you think we should submit?

Also, for those who re-submitted medical exam results before - how long did it take to get the visa issued by the Embassy?

Thank you,

-Carlos
