Changing to AOS

Hello, my husband and I are thinking of changing from consular processing to AOS. I am currently in the US on my tourist visa and have a pending I-130. Our embassy is backed up so we are not sure if we want to wait. How do I go about changing. I know what forms to file but I’m not sure how to change since I put consular processing on my I-130

From what I gather here, your coming on B-2 was done with preconceived intent. Anyway, you're not the first nor last.

Take the I-130 receipt you received, prepare all the other remaining paperwork (in the AOS guides above) and send to them USCIS.

You'll have to pay $1225 for I-485

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

~~Moved to AOS from W,S & T Visas- the OP is inside the US.~~

Before you make this decision to change paths take a look at how long AOS is backed up. It still may be faster to do consular processing. Also check on the delays for EAD and AP.

It wasn’t. I actually got married in the states and went back home. This is my second visit since then, my I-130 hasn’t been approved yet and my husband is now saying it’s taking too long.
