Scanned document slightly crooked

This is for the NVC document upload. My wife (beneficiary) birth certificate was scanned using a communications center. Although the digital document is clear and everything is visible, it is slightly crooked.

 

1) Will this cause an RFE?

2) Does the orientation of the document matter?

 

Also, the police certificate was mailed folded and it has a crease in the middle. The crease does not block any information but it is clearly visible in the scanned document. Will this be a problem?

If you have any doubts I would scan it in again and re upload it. My marriage certificate was slightly off center but they still accepted it as long as everything is legible and the whole document is present everything should be fine. I had a paper that had a crease in it but it didn’t pose a problem and it got accepted. Do whatever you need to do to put your mind at ease. That’s what I did and all my documents got accepted and I got DQ. It’s up to you

"Slightly crooked" would probably be ok but there are a number of free web sites that will "deskew" a pdf document online.  https://www.pdfdeskew.com/  https://www.sejda.com/deskew-pdf etc so it's not difficult to fix.

 

People have definitely received RFEs for improper orientation though.  Upside down or sideways should definitely be corrected.  There are free web sites that can fix orientation too.

 

Creases are fine as long as they don't obscure anything.
