Hi Everyone,

I would like to inquire if it is possible to make a travel outside the Philippines (Tour) while waiting my Interview Schedule. Can this affect my long awaited petition?. I was Documentarily Qualified last 08-Sep-2022, the NVC sent me an email notice last 08-Nov-2022 informing me that they will contact me the next 60 days to inform whether or not there would be an appointed schedule.

Also, I did not receive a welcome letter (Hard copy) only email with Subject: Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation containing my NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number. Is this considered as my welcome letter?

Will appreciate any advise/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

If your case is already DQ, then your petition is already approved.  The US Department of State has no restriction for visa applicants on where to travel, except for travel to problematic countries like Iran or North Korea.  If you don't plan on traveling to such countries, then you have nothing to worry about, as far as your US visa process is concerned.  Just make sure to update your DS-260 info on the day of your visa interview.  Inform the document screener at the US embassy in Manila of the new countries you visited since the time you submitted your DS-260.

As for the welcome letter, NVC does not send hard copies by post.  Only email.
