You are right, I should have said F1.  Regardless the F2A if the parents came would be faster as getting to F1 would require an additional 5 plus years.

The petitions are basically interchangeable. They can file F2B (not F2A, that’s for under 21) and if they become citizens before it’s finalized, they can choose at that point whether they want to “upgrade” to F1 fully or retain the F2B priority date. Currently F2B is more beneficial with respect to priority date, and has been for some time.
