I found the form in the USCIS website, with the instructions where the form needs to be filed.

Does anyone know if the form must be filed in the US per the instructions on the USCIS website, or do I have to take the form with me to the interview?

if the form has to be filed in the US, how long does it take to receive an approval or confirmation?

thanks

As mentioned above, I-134 is what you need to fill out for the K1 visa interview.  I-864 is not required until after your beneficiary enters the US, marries you, and applies for Adjustment of Status.

So do I take the completed form along with the supporting documents with me to the interview?

Yes, bring the completed I-134 and supporting financial documents.
