I don't know how to proceed.

Scenario:

1. I am a USC and my wife is the one we are sponsoring for.

2. I am a college student so do not meet the threshold.

3. My wife uncle makes above the threshold and has agreed to sponser us

Uncle facts

1. The uncle does not live with us and live in another state.

2. Wife's uncle is married, no kids

Questions

1. Now what form will I do if any and what form will uncle do?

2. Does uncle only do the I 864 and that's it ?

3. Or do I do I 864 and then he does another 1 864 ?

4. Or do I do an I 864 and he does a I 864A ?

Summary

1. Please HELP, this is the second last thing on my plates

Thanks

You, I-864.  Uncle I-864 and his wife I-864a whether she has income or not.  How is explained in the I-864 instructions.  Become an A-Student of those instructions.

Isn't I-864A dedicated for a joint sponsor's household member, whose income is used to supplement the main joint sponsor income?

Or who files taxes jointly with the joint sponsor.  Trust me on this.  Do it or have it asked for later.  (in a visa case)

One way that works. It's the way I told you.  I mean use the instructions to assure you complete the forms correctly.  It is not clear what the right combination of forms is for your circumstance, but....I....was clear.  Right?
