K-1 Visa: Appointment in Warsaw / Schengen Visa / Russian Citizen

Hi,

My fiance is a Russian citizen with an appointment already scheduled at the U.S Consulate in Warsaw. Which country should we first attempt to apply for her Schengen Visa? Reading that Italy, Spain or Greece are currently the best options. However, some of the Baltic states are proposing an EU ban against all Russian citizens to start in mid-September.

Has any one already applied for the Schengen visa?

Which country?

What was the length of stay that was approved? I am calculating that I will have to remain in Poland with my fiance for at least two weeks until she gets her passport back.

Thanks,

Hi,

Has anyone already been for their appointment of a K-1 visa at the U.S Consulate in Warsaw?

Does anybody know if they will allow me to be present during the interview with my fiance? Or will I have to remain outside of the Consulate until the interview is completed?

Thanks,

Hi,

Seeking for some advice.

My fiance is a Russian citizen already with an appointment scheduled at the Consulate in Warsaw in January. I have come questions and I would greatly appreciate it if someone can provide some clarification:

1. Where should she get her medical exam done? Moscow or Warsaw?

2. How far in advanced can the medical exam be done before the appointment?

Thanks.

The thread below is about a spouse visa case, so be aware that the process will be different for K1.  But the info about how the Warsaw consulate operates may be helpful to you --

Currently in Italy now with my Russian Fiancé. She has been approved for Italian visas twice before, about 5 years ago. Our trip was about 10 days and we noted as such on the application, they gave her a visa for exactly 1 month.

Her Russian friend is currently in Spain, she was also given a 1 month visa. I've also heard of similar success with Greece. You should be fine with any of the three.
