Hi everyone, first-time contributor here.  I submitted my step-son's documents to CEAC on July 28.  Notifce of DQ on September 26.  Still no interview letter as of today.  After three weeks of waiting (Oct. 17), I wrote to the consulate (Naples, Italy).  The consulate replied yesterday (Nov. 3) saying that "we confirm we have not received your case at post yet."  I replied stating that five-and-a-half weeks seemed an abnormally long amount of time to send a case to their post and asking confirmation whether this was or was not within the norm and, if the latter, what recourse we may have.  Reply from consulate today (Nov. 4): "we confirm that is the average time."

Does NVC transfer these cases via Pony Express?

If you’ve communicated with others going through processing in US Embassy Naples and it’s business as usual, I suggest you wait. Some of us have to wait for 6 months lol.

It depends on your consulate. Make a timeline and compare to others from your country.
