I applied for N400 in Feb 2020, Biometric was done the same month but still waiting. Online tools used in replying to messages they say waiting for a vacant spot to interview. Does anyone have the same situation?!!?

First of all, I do thank you for your time, Yes processing time shows 17.5 months, and that shows I am almost 1 year out of normal processing time at the moment. Yes, I did file a through my online profile with USCIS, and last month they replied to me back against my inquiry as under:

"The status of this service request is:

Thank you for contacting USCIS with your concerns. We have investigated this case and checked all our systems and a decision has not been made at this time and is still in process.

Your concerns are important to us so, please be patient with our review. When a decision, interview date, Re-interview date, ceremony date, or any change of importance is made we will contact you through mailed correspondence. Thank you
USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received.  We hope this information is helpful.  If we may be of further assistance, please let us know."

Yes married, always living together at the same address till now, and filing taxes jointly, I do upload files every year in my USCIS documents.

I had only one interview in Pakistan and at that base, they approved my CR1 visa. One thing is to remind you that I applied for removal of condition on my GC in Dec 2018, and on the 3-year condition I applied for N400 in Feb 2020, So it is a combo case in other words.

So is there any reason you can think of why they’re sitting on your case?

There is no reason coming to my mind except the joint bank account. Is that affect the process?

You don’t have a joint account? No, I don’t think that’s the issue.

Have you ever applied to a visa before?
You can always file for WoM. This will lead them to make a decision (which could be approval or denial)

Yes, we do not have a joint bank account.

Do you mean visa application for my origin country or any third one? Well, I-797 expired after 18 months I got a stamp from USCIS in Jun 2021 on my passport so that could travel to see my parents, and I visited them in Nov 2021 for 5 weeks.

Could you please explain what is WoM? Thank you

I meant any previous visa applications to come to the USA
WoM: Mandamus. Essentially you’re suing USCIS for sitting on their butts and not deciding on your case in a timely manner
