Hello, all!

First, my apologies if I'm posting this in an incorrect area.  My husband and I were married over two years ago and started the green card process in mid-2020.  After some life things happened, we started the AOS process in January of this year and everything had been going quickly and smoothly until recently it seems where we've just kind of hit a wall.  We received receipt of application, request of biometrics, approval of biometrics, and then an RFE for I693 was requested to be mailed directly to our field office with a due date of July 5.  The request came in April and we got it mailed back within a week.  it's been crickets since -- not even a confirmation of receipt.  USCIS says our case is "actively being reviewed and nothing is required" but the date was before the request for the 693 was made.

Our lawyer always told us that we would be required to bring the medical to the interview, but this had us send in to the field office sealed.

I guess my question is, should we have received a confirmation of receipt notice?  When this happens, is an interview normally requested?

I'm a bit lost - any help or timeline advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

J
