Waiting period for consulate interview

Hello,

 

My both parents got DQ on 04/18/2022. How long does it take for NVC to schedule an interview at Mumbai consulate? Will they be having a separate interview?

Timeline:

Filed i130 - Jan 2021

Approved i130 - Dec 2021

DQ - April 2022

Mumbai is slow so probably some time hopefully they will interview together

Make sure you call USCIS to 'link' both their applications if they have not done so already. I didn't do it and once I got the interview date assigned they cant link it, it has to be separate interviews then.

"Linking" of cases should be requested at NVC stage, not the petition stage.  USCIS won't care about visa interview scheduling.

How do you request that? I did not see an option to do it when uploading documents
