You stated you went to the medical and interview for the petition in 2016 and was denied.  The new petition with DNA evidence was submitted in 2019.  Is this correct?  If so, then your PD date is 2019.  F11

Okay sure. I get it now. Thanks a lot for the information. I appreciate it

Also, just in case you don't know already. if you and/or your sibling get married, you get moved into another visa category, with a longer wait time. Not 100% certain if application would need to be refiled in that case or not (others can chime in) but safest thing to do is not get married until after you get to the states.

Hello everyone. I have a problem and I need help in navigating it.

My mum filed the an I-130 in 2016 when she was an LPR for my siblings aged me 20, 18 and 14. We did our medicals and an interview was scheduled but unfortunately our visas was denied.

Fast forward to 2019, a new I-130 was filed and we did DNA, and submitted forms to NVC we became documentary qualified June 2020, my mum naturalized and is now a US citizen so our case was upgraded to IR2.

We’ve received an appointment date in April  but we noticed the visa class has changed from IR2 to F11.

Please help, how can it be changed back to IR2?

UPDATE- Our visa class changed from F11 to IR2 before the interview date which was on the 20th of April 2022. Our visa was approved and we were informed DHL will notify us to pick up our passports. On 6th of May we picked up our passports from  DHL with visas which were issued on the 28th of April 2022.

No packets/envelopes were given to us.  We were told we'll receive them at the port of entry. We traveled from Ghana on the 27th of May and arrived in the US on 28th of May at 5:00am. Immigration sent us to a room where we waited and when we were called we were asked of our Mum's(petitioner) number and we were dismissed. We claimed our baggage and exited the airport.

Our SS delayed till we went to the office and were told it had been issued but didn't know why we hadn't received it. We were given an A4 sheet with the SS and were asked to expect the cards.

We received our Green Card on 22/07 exactly two months after arrival to the US.

That's great. Can you please share with me some of the questions asked you and your siblings, fees paid and also the documents you submitted during the interview?

Hi Dammy! Sorry for the late reply. So we didn’t take any action but it changed from F11 back to IR2.

So just relax, some days to your interview it’ll change back to IR2. So you’re good.

I wish you all the best!
