I have to undergo another medical examination however St Luke's refuses to schedule an appointment stating that repeat medical require a health case number from the Embassy. I have been requesting this number from the Embassy since december 2021 to no avail and keep postponing interviews.

If I try to schedule as if it is a new medical examination, St Luke's system flags me as having done a previous exam and requires this health case number to proceed.

Any suggestion on what to do?

The Health Case Inquiry is within SLEC?.  https://slec.ph/

Under U.S.A Visa Applicants:

Sadly this tool just tells you "Your Health Case is NOT yet available. Please coordinate with the U.S. Embassy Manila."

Sorry about that... have you tried calling the Embassy hotline?  As per comments in FB group am in, they just keep calling the USEM for follow-up.  You can join this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/IR5VISA and search for health case for people's experiences.  Sorry, not much of help.

The U.S. Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service Center hotlines are (+632) 8548-8223 and (+632) 7792-8988.   The call center is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the United States should call (703) 520-2235 on its Eastern Standard Time equivalent of operation hours.

Thank you - I will check facebook's experiences.

I have contacted the embassy via their hotline and email regularly for the past 3 months but all they do is postpone the interview due to missing health case number but never actually issue the number.

I am thinking of attending the interview without the new medical even though I live far from Manila in the hope that the interviewing officer will fix this.

Don't do that.  Your trip will just be wasted.  You won't be able to talk to a consul officer at all.  If your medical is not completed, you will not even be able to get past the document screening.  The embassy staff will turn you away and tell you to book a new interview schedule.

OK, thank you for the warning - I will keep contacting them and postponing until they issue the health case number then.

If anyone is wondering, it took many calls and emails but after more than 3 months the health case number was finally issued!

Congrats. Ever since they started this new policy it has been a nightmare. Is it something that the USEM has to issue?

Yes many calls and emails to the US Embassy in Manila... not sure which exact inquiry worked but they sent it out of the blue at some point...

Sorry to resurrect this topic about Health Case Inquiry. In the last several months, I was able to go through repeat medical because my medical results expired after 3 months (they did take my sputum every time because they did not consider the cause of the whole in my lungs that was due a motorcycle accident). So last May 11 was supposed to be our interview. We went in and was told by the screener that I did not pay the processing fee and also I need to get a new medical because my medical exam expired 3 days prior. I was confused why I was asked for the visa processing fee (is this legit fee?). Everything was paid for when our lawyer filed the application (yes, it is employment based and I got approved). Long story short, I had to call several times during the week before they finally flagged my schedule as no show and was able to reschedule my interview. Then went to also schedule another medical at SLEC and got the appointment but when I got there, they refused to do another medical because they said I need to submit a Health Case inquiry. Reading the posts here, it's very scary that I would not be able to do another medical without the dreaded health case inquiry. Is this a new requirement that they just implemented? Curious to know of other experiences.
