IR1/CR1: Delay after Visa Issued

Visa issued at Jan 2nd. and We are getting this message since then. Anybody still waiting for travel package and passport?

 

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon.

When was your medical exam done?  Your visa will expire based on that date.  Maximum is 6 months after medical exam.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

you may only get the passport with visa stamp

some embassies are posting the travel package , as u call it,  online for the CBP officer to read 

 

where did u arrange to pick up the passport ?

 

Once your visa is approved, Blue Dart will deliver your passport to the pickup location you specified when you scheduled your appointment.

Please note that passports not collected within 14 calendar days from 11 Visa Application Centers or within 7 working days from 22 Blue Dart locations will be RETURNED to the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate and applicants will need to pick up their passports/documents directly from U.S. Embassy/Consulate. Follow the link for the Embassy/Consulate Holiday schedule.
