Hello,

My wife immigrated to  the USA  this year with the spouse visa and got her green card ans SSN. Can i fill with  her on  my 2021 taxes as married filling jointly? Do we wait until next year before i can add her to my taxes? If i were to fill jointly can she be considered a resident of my state with i am resident?

If you married before Dec 31 you can file MFJ

Yes you can file jointly. If you do, you will have to report both of your incomes earned in tax year 2021, including her foreign earned income (if any).  There is a Foreign Earn Income Exclusion (Form 2555) that can be used for income she earned while living in a foreign country.
