  1. We have been married for over 4 years now, it's her CR1 processing that took long. She finally immigrated to us in 2022
  2. Hello, My wife immigrated to the USA this year with the spouse visa and got her green card ans SSN. Can i fill with her on my 2021 taxes as married filling jointly? Do we wait until next year before i can add her to my taxes? If i were to fill jointly can she be considered a resident of my state with i am resident?
  3. I am curious as to what happens when a Custom officer at an Airport let's say JFK or NJ denies a green card holder access because they have been in and out the US a bit much (although it could be not more than a 1 year). Do the officer send you to immigration detention center while someone decide your case? Do they write you a note and refer you to an migration judge? Or do they give you the option to be deported on the next flight?
  4. Yes i do have those from there. I wasn’t sure if it’s ok in lieu of the original
  5. Thank you. It has a signature and seals on all Pages . You can’t see the seal unless you feel it
  6. Hi, i am in a Cr1 for my wife. Was married before and the consular is asking for the original and copy of the divorce . I do not have have an original but the court in NYC gave me a certified copy of the divorce. Do you think a certified copy is acceptable if i don’t have an original? Anyone ever been the the same situation with a consular processing? If they refuse the certified copy of the divorce what options do we have if we can’t get an original?
  7. Thank you all. that's such a strong word. Why not Pending or under review.
  8. My wife had her interview in Senegal. They gave her a form to bring in my previous divorce. On the same day since we don't live far from the Embassy, we returned and gave the requested paper. They took the copy and her passport and told her to come back in 3 days. I just checked her status and it says Refused. I am confused, shouldn't it be Administrative processing? Did they denied her . What does refused really mean? does it mean they haven't processed the documents yet.
