Is Warsaw really delayed until late July?

Just trying to make sure I'm on the right scheduler, after seeing every other embassy having very immediate interview times. I recognize of course everything going on in Warsaw right now, but for those who can still sign up for interviews or have access to TravelDocs, is it really true that the next K1 appointment (besides the weird one that just opened next week) is late July?

This is extremely, extremely depressing to hear. As an early April 2021 filer I was hoping it would be smooth sailing after the long (and still waiting) wait for the NOA2, but this is an absolute blow to the gut. I sincerely hope that they open some slots earlier than late July… :(

Sorry to be commenting when I don’t have the answer, but this was something I was not wanting to see. Hopefully others will be able to confirm/deny this.

Yes, I only know because I went to check appointments after getting my case number (but before making the DS-160 and it being sent to the embassy). I hope that something's just wrong and I'm looking at the wrong scheduler or something, because that's almost as long as it takes to get a tourist interview. That's why I'm messaging here, to see if anyone else is in the same position and can see the same. Unfortunately, you can only view the calendar a few times a day before it locks you out.

Another thing, which I think deserves awareness, is that Warsaw's next medical appointment is end-of-April. I don't know about Krakow or Minsk/Moscow. But Warsaw is already out a month, it seems.

Does your fiancé have a Schengen visa? How she get it? I read from posts saying you must accept the interview letter package before you can do anything, is the letter from Warsaw embassy sending to your fiancé in Russia address?

My fiancee already had a Schengen visa, so I'm sorry I can't provide much help there. She's also Belarusian, so we were always going to Warsaw anyway and were prepared for that. From my conversations with other posters, there is technically a letter that comes from Warsaw, but the information it contains is also available online (minus your original I-129F, which apparently is returned). Something my 'research' has uncovered in the past few days is that every embassy has a different process for interviews/medical/TravelDocs. Only the DS-160 is standard across all filers. It does not appear as if Warsaw asks for your case number when making the interview, however, you must have everything ready by the time the date comesincluding receipt of your packet by the embassy, which is verified by Packet 3. This is why it can be advisable to wait until then.

Thank you for your reply, one confused thing is I read some posts saying the interview date is scheduled in your package 3, some others saying you can book the interview date yourself, not sure which one is true, definitely you can’t book the interview before you receive your package 3 because you don’t know how Hong it will take, a letter from Warsaw to Russia belgorod city may take weeks or can lost due to the war zones

Warsaw is a self-scheduling embassy, meaning you book it yourself through TravelDocs. I personally have no idea how Warsaw will try to send information to war zones right now, which is why I almost wonder if Packet 3 will be sent electronically for some people. We changed addresses at the NVC stage, so hopefully it doesn't get sent to our old address. But in regard to interview times, again, currently the next availability is August 2nd; as soon as Warsaw requests your packet, it should get there in less than a week. I'd be shocked if it takes Warsaw more than 4 months to request the packet, considering NVC told me a few days ago they were requesting again. I wish you the best of luck, particularly knowing your fiancee is in Belgorod.

  • 2 weeks later...

So my fiancee and I were trying to book an appointment for her K1 interview in Warsaw (we just received NOA2). Word of advice: if you see and are able to make the appointment online, don't bother calling ustraveldocs to see if there's other availability. We did that and the lady said earliest was August 18th (consistent with what we saw online) and then asked if we'd received our NVC number. My fiancee said no and the lady said we shouldn't be trying to make the appoint yet (uh oh). After that all appointment availability magically disappeared on ustraveldocs website, and several hours later she tried logging in again and now she's locked out of her account  for 72 hours. That's what we get for trying to get ahead of the game 🙃

EDIT: The reason we called was because initially we saw there was an appointment available for June 21st, then after going through the various flows (selecting non-resident priority, etc) and making the payment the availability changed to August 18th

I don't think they'd lock you out themselves based solely on you not having a case number. There's a high, high number of people trying to schedule appointments and they have lots of anti-botting measures on the website (constant capchas, frequent 72 hour locks, etc.). I have noticed myself, too, that the "first appointment available" is often wildly different than what actually appears when you go to reschedule. Not sure where it's getting the earlier number from, perhaps the resident queue?

I also checked myself and indeed the earliest appointment is August 19th. Yesterday I can confirm the earliest was August 5th. I'm not sure how all of them filled. Did TravelDocs ask you to insert your case number/DS-160 when making an account?

No, the lady asked my fiancee if she had an NVC case number, my fiancee said no and then the lady said we shouldn't be trying to make an appointnment without that. After that call, my fiancee went back to ustraveldocs where she was still logged in, refreshed the page, and magically "no appointments available". Could be coincidental but seems a bit strange that before the call with the agent there was an August 18th appointment date available and after the call there's suddenly "no appointments available" on ustraveldocs website. Hours later she tried logging in again and it said her account was locked for 72 hours. So now we wait 72 hours and see if there are any appointment dates available. If the agent has somehow locked us out from making an appointment I have no clue how we're supposed to proceed.

Annnnd, my fiancee's Shengen visa expires mid september so this should be interesting...
