Hi All,

I have been a silent member of this forum for awhile... I recently received my US -Naturalization Certificate (time to celebrate :) ). My son is still living in the Philippines, he is 17 years old and will turn 18 this August 2022.

I am not very sure which form to use is it N600 form or N400? Please enlighten me...thank you all in advance!

Best Regards,

Cathy

I would imagine the I 130

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I believe N600 only applies if the child is in your physical custody and is legally in the US already, or by the time the application is approved. Similarly, N400 is for those over 18 and are already legal permanent residents.

I believe you need to file a I-130 for him.   I defer to others to comment/respond

EDIT:  Also, just for my curiosity, why didn't your husband file the I-130 for him as a stepson when he filed for your spouse visa?  You don't have to answer if you don't want to.
