K1 4 month validity

So, once the K1 visa is approved by the USCIS, it says it's valid for 4 months after that.  Mine was approved by the USCIS back in June.  However, it didn't leave the NVC until sometime in November.  I now have an interview scheduled Feb 8th.  I did remember an email saying they would autoextend it but has anyone else ran into this issue?

Nov 3, 2020 - Sent I-129F

Nov 7, 2020 - USPS delivered to Dallas Lockbox

As of Dec 14, 2020, not yet received NOA1

What was approved was the petition not the visa.

That approval expires after 4 months but it can be extended up to a year in 4 months increments.

It will be automatically extended or you need to request for it to be extended, depends on the specific embassy/consulate.

All of us over the past 2 years haha Don't worry about it, as long as you've been actively taking action on it and the interview is scheduled, you're good to go. Just print out the email that said it's autoextended for your records
