Flying with K1 during COVID: VH had slight challenges getting on his flights with the K1. By May 2021, the K1s are considered NIE and should be allowed to travel freely. However, VH had to share mine (US citizens) passport and copy of presidential proclamation at the airport. The officers did call CBP to confirm that he was in fact allowed to travel. His entry into the US was smooth from that point on. |

N/A as we had a dual purpose interview
First 20 min was for the 10 year green card. Front loaded application with pictures, cc files, bank statements, utility bills, insurance, etc. Added all proof until 8/24/2025. Interview was straight forward - what have you been up to. Wife received additional questions on specific days in our lives |

Rest 40 min was n-400 interview. Asked 6 questions (got all right). They came from the list of 100. Questions started off easy (ie who is governor) and got hard (ie more historical). Then I had to read a question out-loud and write a simple sentence answering the question I read out-loud. Finally went through all the yes/no questions and she informed me that she was going to recommend me for approval. She asked me to wait outside and after 20 min, I received my approval and information for same day oath ceremony
My advice - read and practice the interview questions provided |

US CIS Local Office ReviewsTimeline Comments: 13You're the only other June NOA2. Seeing a bunch of NOA2s for June for other countries but nothing for India yet. Please keep me updated. My NOA is June 4th.
I'm so confused why mine hasn't been approved yet, given earlier NOA, CA service center, and now India. Congrats though! How did you find out?
NandV on 2021-02-05 said:haha thank you! I've been obsessively been checking the uscis app :) I received a notification in there that we were approved! Yours will come soon as well
NandV on 2021-02-05 said:btw you can also contact ucsis as yours is outside the normal processing time. Officially, they said they're processing June 11th today
Yeah, I sent them an inquiry regarding being outside processing time as soon as I was eligible (receipt date was technically 5/29 for our file). They emailed back saying our case is being adjudicated and we should hear back within 45 days, so not helpful and that's a long time when we are already outside the time and it's been 8 months.
How did you find out your case was at NVC? Do they email or send a letter?
NandV on 2021-03-14 said:We followed greenbaum's guide and sent an email, but we also called weekly. It seems like it takes about 30 days to get the case #, so I would recommend calling exactly 30 days out

Congratulations on approval!
My fiancé’s interview location was changed by NVC after we clearly mentioned them to be in India. We have been trying to contact Mumbai embassy. Is there any chance for us? Please let us know :(
Wow! You guys are so lucky.
Congratulations 💜
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
