I have an idea: let’s add a column in the spreadsheet with case ID and have folks fill it in. It doesn’t disclose much more info, but at least allow us to check subsequent case ID and have a sense of how it’s progressing. That would be faster than having to wait for potential folks to fill in subsequent December dates, etc.

A quick program checking the case ID, crossing it with following Seattle case ID could provide a better estimation than our current minds are trying to right now.

While it sounds good in theory, it is almost universally agreed that applicants should NOT share their entire receipt number (which you call case ID) except with people close to them, their attorney, etc. USCIS considers the receipt number personally identifying information. When linked to an account name, or worse, actual name, it can increase the risk of identity theft or other issues. This is why the moderators almost always instruct people to remove their case number from posts. As such, requesting that users fill in this information in an off-site spreadsheet is likely to run afoul of the moderators of this site.

The above post is correct in every way.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If you look at the rate of processing , USCIS scheduled( not interviewed) everybody ( in our chart) from July, August and September of 2021 between May/25 to July/1. So in the past 35 or so days they have scheduled about 90 days worth of interviews.  If they continue to schedule interviews at the same rate 🤞, ie schedule 90 days worth of interviews in the next 35 days , most folks with filing dates close to end of December 2021 should be scheduled by mid August 2022.  😀

Looks like the USCIS outdid itself so far on my prediction "most folks with filing dates close to end of December 2021 should be scheduled by mid August 2022" Most folks with PDs  until December 15th seem to have already been scheduled. Whats pending is last 15 days of 2021 . I am expecting December 2021 scheduling to completed hopefully by end of next week. 🤞😀

In case you have not , please update the sheet with your alias and dates so that we can have better tracking.

According to the sheet, USCIS has started treating cases from 2022! Seattle seems to really be speeding up! Good luck for the rest of us!!

Might be a stupid questions, but the civics questions being asked, are they asked as a multi answer choice?

My case has been updated to "scheduled for interview" but I have to wait until I receive the mail to find out my interview date. In fact I want to ask others who were scheduled on 7/22: how did you guys find your interview date?

@ZeeJ same here. Online it says 'We will mail you an interview notice.'. I haven't received an email yet.

Did you check your USCIS account and the documents section? Usually they will post a digital copy of the physical notice there which should have details of the day/time/location.

So guys, I'm excited about how the processing has sped up suddenly, but...

I filed in January 22 and I'm scheduled to travel internationally in September. Now it's looking like my interview could be scheduled for September while I'm away. Does anyone know how bad it is to ask for the interview to be rescheduled? I don't want to end up having to wait months again.

Hopefully I get scheduled for an October interview!!

Honest opinion: If possible - move your trip. It's technically possible to move your interview with valid cause and there are people who have done that and be successful. But if you look at the overwhelming ratio of folks who requested a change, they have been stuck in limbo for weeks/months. If the citizenship timeline doesn't matter to you - then you should be fine requesting a change, just be prepared for a quick or super long timeframe based on how lady luck serves you!

Thanks for weighing in! I realized I could possibly change my travel dates a bit to leave immediately after the N400 interview if possible - and request the officer to schedule the oath ceremony for after I return. It seems like the oath ceremony is usually a few weeks after the interview anyway (when it's not on the same day).

Does that seem like a good plan?

That seems like a better plan than rescheduling your interview. In general, rescheduling your interview should be your last resort. I would reschedule a trip way before I would reschedule an interview. Even if the oath ceremony occurs during your trip, it can be rescheduled once without too much issue.

I did. They didn't post the interview letter unfortunately.

Same here. Nothing on the site other than 'July 22, 2022 Interview Was Scheduled'. I wonder if they are sending a paper notice only to verify I am at my address since I have been making frequent international trips.

I sincerely hope the non disclosure of the interview dates online is not another bug that was somehow introduced . Also no movement on Jan 2022 from yesterday .
