Hope the 8 ball thingy works Audrey and it brings the rest of us some luck too. I get the same feeling sometimes about people moving forward and me stagnating. It's hard but I am happy to read about everyone's plans and excitement. There just doesn't seem like an awful lot to talk about without saying the same thing over and over. I want my NOA2. I want to know how long I need a job here for. I thought getting a job that ended at easter had covered all the bases. Looks like it may not :(

180 days today :(

I really hope the rest of the july filers see movement very soon. This has gone on too long for you all.

I'm currently trying to work out US banks..which are good, which are bad and how long it will take until I'm able to get to my own money without paying huge charges. I can either transfer it to Nick's account and then rely on him to give me an allowance lol or can pay a fortune to use money from my uk account.

I'd recommend not taking all ur money out of UK since the economy in the US is not doing too well. There is talk of a recession and the stock market keeps plummeting everyday. Alot of the banks are in trouble too. There was some businees with America west..can't remember what the details were.

i will do the same with eric's insurance, but what about the time UNTIL you get married whenever you are already in the US?

i heard so many nightmare stories of people running into 80000-debt because they didn't have insurance for a week and bad luck for one day. :( *scared*

thanks, cool! i will go and look at it.

i think i'll have a MASSIVE candybar tonite while watching CSI and Dr. House.

or two.

Mars or Snickers sounds great.....

did i mention that i am on a low calory diet and that i am already 200kcal over my budget for the day?

and the only thing i can think of is a big hug and cuddling from my loved one, OR A MARS. even a mars midnight. it will be USCIC's fault if i weigh as much as an elefant by the time i get there.

What the heck...

This is nuts!!! I can book a round-trip flight from the West Coast USA (LAX - BKK - SFO) for $1,099 on Cathay Pacific but booking the one-way Cathay flight from BKK to SFO (exact flight as the return leg above) is $1,700!!!!!

Can someone explain that to me???

What would the risks be of buying a round-trip ticket for her from BKK - SFO - BKK even though she is entering the US on a K1? Do you think that the agent at SFO would deny entry because she was holding a return ticket?

Hey guys, I just wanted to add a brilliant idea about the flights that Matthew came up with. He is flying from London to Seattle and the one-way ticket was nearly twice as much as the roundtrip so we booked a roundtrip with obviously no intention of using the return ticket!!! but (and here is the brilliant part) since he will not be using the return ticket he booked it from New York to London and saved 100 pounds!!!! So the arrival ticket is London to Seattle, returning like a month later from New York to London. It never even crossed my mind, but booking the return from New York to London is so much cheaper because it is a shorter flight. So those of you booking one way tickets, try playing around with the return portion of the trip from places on the east coast and also the day - flying on tuesday was the cheapest! Just wanted to share!!!

@Jeraly - you can add us to the July Filer Csc-ers that are making the big move in January! Matthew arrives here one week from today JAN 29th!!!!!! to stay forever and forever. this is the slowest week EVER!!!! I have so much to get done and just can't concentrate on anything!!!

I'll add Jeremy to my insurance as soon as we get married which will be as soon as he gets here. Hopefully you can get a short term/temp insurance and only need it for a month or so. It's so overpriced. What about traveler's insurance? Jeremy used something like that from Canada whenever he'd visit me just in case something happened (no health ins. in Canada).

I have a nurse friend that broke her ankle while in Europe (can't remember which country). She was amazed at how cheap it was to have it fixed, casted, then re-casted because she had too much swelling. She was able to pay for it out of pocket!! That would NOT happen here. Unless you were a millionaire lol. It's just too expensive.

Oh and just an update in case anybody saw my earlier post this morning about the 13" of stupid snow I had to deal with this morning...my tendinitis (wrist) is killing me, my legs still are freezing, my shoulders hurt and I got my visit from aunt flow which results in a migraine for me! So I think I'm going to be in dire need of a Butterfinger or something like that tonight.

Unfortunately everything is RERUNS so no tv for me.

Audrey, how much snow did you guys get? You're kinda in the same path for storms as me.

Hehe - yeah we will prolly get married pretty soon after I move - Jeremy has really good insurance through his work as well although I can't remember all the ins and outs - I just know it is one of the best types - can't remember what it is called :P

@Agnes - you couldn't look like an elephant if you tried - you're beautiful!! And if you put on a few pounds your OH will love you anyway :D Fortunately for me, Jeremy is 6'4 and just under 280lbs so I will always look tiny next to him :luv:

Ok - supposed to be reading e-mails from wedding planner!!!!

We got 12 inches. Yuck. I am very lucky here that my landlord comes and plows and shovels me out. He's great. I guess I have it made. I have a 5 car garage and a big deck this is 325 square feet and he shovels and plows it all.

It is so funny - your Aunt Flow is visiting - me too. And I am feeling very down tonight because Phil called me at work at 4:55 my time to tell me that he will call me on the cell in 30 minutes and have not heard a word from him. I'm just upset because we talk every night and he has done this to me before. I know that he's fallen asleep - but it doesn't help that I feel "forgotten". We usually Skype but because he's at his brother's house for the night, he calls from a "free" cell phone that his brother has.

This process sucks too - and my favorite is Butterfinger and Snickers - so pull up a chair and let's eat candybars!

LOL
