Is Trinidad or does the US Embassy at POS issue DS-5535 extreme background checks routinely?

Does anyone here know if Immigrant visa applicants of TT origin that want to do consular processing at POS get hit with the DS-5535 multi year long background check routinely like Pakistan and other such countries?  This would be for EB-3 Employment.

 

I know that there has been some news that TT has major ISIS recruits (not sure if true or not) but want to avoid being stuck in TT if possible. I'm current in the US on another work permit.

There is no way to predict.  We see them given to people of all national origin.

Yep, that makes sense that there would be no way to predict for individual and one off cases.

 

I was more wondering if the US Embassy in TT is doing DS5535 routinely, aka everyone has to do one adding years to the process like i see in the Islamabad thread. Or maybe i'm understanding this whole ds 5535 thing wrong and its not country based?

As @Jorgedig said, people from all sorts of national origins are asked to fill out the DS-5535.  For example, over at the Canada sub-forum, there's an active thread for those who got DS-5535 from the consulate at Montreal.
