Question about copies of the check.

Okay. So I'm sending off the I-129F petition today. I've made a digital copy of the check. My question is, will they have a problem with the word "VOID" going across the copy? If not, how big should it be and whereabouts should it be located on the copy of the check.

Thanks in advance, guys!

The question is: Who is this Check for? USCIS? Is this the check you are paying for your I-129F? If YES, then sure, you will have a HUGE problem for it is VOIDED as you mentioned. USCIS can not cash a VOIDED check... nor anyone!

BUT

If the "check" you describe in this post is a "photocopy" of the actual check, or a digital scan copy of the REAL check, which you have for your record, then the answer is "who cares". If this is part of your "supportive evidence" package for the up and coming Visa Interview, then also no problem!

Good luck

you are sending a copy of a check???

To whom??? and for what purpose??

USCIS doent want a copy of a check...they want the real thing. How are you going to pay for the petition??? with a copy of a check???

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

No, no... You guys have misunderstood me. I'm sending the real check off today with the petition. I was just curious if the USCIS'd have a problem with void written across or account numbers blacked out on copies of my check that I'd need for future packets that I'd have to send off.

The copies are for your reference. You are unlikely to be sending off a copy of your check to anyone but I would write "Copy" instead of "Void" if the need arises. I see no need to black out the check numbers. They already had that information from your original check.

Oh, okay. Cool. Thanks!
