So for the form I-864, part 6 no 1 asked "i am currently employed as a "  we answeed a nurse as he changed jobs this year.   Part 6 no 7 asked for"INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL INCOME" , my question is, is income suuposed to be the income from 2020 calculated from TAX return, or his current inocme for 2021 as this is the end of 2021.

Below is their request

"Submit a completed and signed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, from the petitioning sponsor.

All pages must be present and of the latest edition date. Provide the petitioning sponsor's Social Security Number on Form I-864.

Provide a complete and correctly calculated household size for the petitioning sponsor on Form I-864.

Submit a complete copy of the petitioning sponsor’s Federal income tax return, including all supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules) filed with the return, for the most recent tax year.

Current income is not calculated from tax returns.  Tax returns reflect past income.  Current income is documented on payslips.

Current Annual Income = Total Income from most recent Pay Period X Number of Pay Periods in a 12 month period.

Example:  Last weekly pay slip indicates $1000 total income X 52 weeks = $52,000 CURRENT ANNUAL INCOME.

As a follow up to this question,

how do we calculate the income we do not have the paystub from january to august, my husband changed jobs in septemember and his paystub from previous job can only be downloaded from his online account with the Company. since leaving the previous company, he cannot access the company' sites to download paystub.

my question is, should we only add the 4 months of available paystub? (The 864 instructions say 6 months) and calculate current income from the last paystub?
