After filing for a green card in January, and having our interview in April, we have the temp gc in hand!!!

Thanks so much for any help and advise that we got from this site and the great people willing to help!

For all of those still waiting, good luck and hopefully your gc will arrive any day!

BTW, does anyone know where we can find cheap airline tix to Europe for August? :dance:

Congratulations! Please remember to fill in your timeline :)

As for tickets to Europe, I believe August is still considered prime summer, so expensive tickets! I think if you fly after Sept 5 they decrease considerably.

Hi...

I suggested not to visit europe in August because according to my husband and his friends, a vast majority of stores and tourist places will close in this month.

Kayak.com searches a variety on online websites to find good deals on airfare. Depends on where you're traveling from....you may be able to find someting decent and somewhat affordable for the latter half of August...but as suggested if you can wait even until September it could mean about a $200 difference in the price of tickets.
