IRS Return transcript is usually preferred.  If you send the 1040, you must also send all associated W2s, 1099s, and appropriate tax schedules.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I have all of the tax schedules and the W2 for 2020! I was wondering if I could send in 1040 and related paperwork and an IRS Transcript since I have both on hand. Also would I also use the total income line on the IRS Tax Transcript or would I use Wages, Tips and Receipts?

For the I-864, you use total income from the 1040.

For current annual income, you use gross income from latest pay period X number of pay periods per year = CURRENT annual income.

can not answer that one as some say taxable income and some say all wages

better to be answered by someone who knows "for sure"   sorry

Oh okay I am still confused. Would I get denied for sending in my W2, 1040 and all tax schedules alongside my IRS Transcripts or would the more information be better?

No, but why send both?  I would send the transcripts....

I got an rfe and Im just a little extra paranoid about being denied.

that i understand

my RFE was 4 pages long

and the answer weighed 25 pounds

someday i am going to post the RFE

but relax - IRS transcripts are enough proof  - most do not realize but there is no way to cheat on a W2 as IRS gets a copy from employer to compare with the one(s) sent by taxpayer with returns

There is no benefit in sending redundant evidence.
