I am confused. Are you both in US or you married in US and beneficiary went back to Mexico?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Both in USA. Married. I’m a citizen. Asking for husband who is from Mexico but currently in USA with me. Hasn’t gone back to his home country in over 16 years.

Based on the latest update from the thread below, looks like CDJ is now scheduling interviews for DQ dates in July 2020.  But there are also folks in that thread who were DQ 2019 but still waiting on their interview schedule.  The observation from the members there is that couples who are not together in the US seem to be getting prioritized for interview, possibly to promote family reunification --

Was he here illegally and the reason for consular processing? I am just asking so that I see if you can dump consular and go AOS route.

No he wasn’t. He got his pardon approved March 2018. Now waiting for interview at ciudad Juárez.

If he was not here illegally, then what was the pardon for? Because I do not understand why you went the consular route.

Lemme call @SusieQQQ to help.

I must have mis understood you. He came illegally to USA.  That’s why 1) he has bot returned in 16+ years. 2) got a pardon 3) waiting for ciudad Juárez interview.

Do you remember when they approved your husbands pardon? We received a letter saying we were just waiting for an interview to be schedule back in July 2019. This is taking too long!

We submitted to USCIS august 2018 and for approved 7 months latter 03/2019.

Now this make sense. Just what I thought.
