Just out of curiosity, is anyone else's A number block also blank on all the paper receipt notices?

Yep! Mine are blank on both parents notices.

Anyone know how to request A Number from USCIS? I tried to get driver license, but I couldn't with i-485 receipt without A Number.

Thank you,

I think your USCIS online profile would show your A-number, IF it’s already been assigned. Otherwise, I’m not much help.

Quick update - my wife’s case updated to “biometrics appointment scheduled” 🤗

Thanks for letting us know. I have not checked my USCIS online account for a week as I thought I would get an email if there is any new document in my account. After I received your notification just now, I logged in to my USCIS account and found out that I had my Biometrics appointment scheduled on Sept 17th as well LOL. The document was sent yesterday. It turns out that VJ is a better notification than USCIS lol. Thanks again! 😂

Congratulations you guys! Is this biometrics appointment under i485 application or i765/131?

Thanks! It is under I-485 Documents. The I-765/131 still says “Case Received and Receipt Notice sent on July 16th” for me.

@Addy’s dad and @chancecody: In the bottom part of the PDF does the notice have 1 or 2 barcodes? Also what's in the "Case Type" box?

biometrics-notice.jpeg&key=c2e5b0fbe5ac2

Hello HRQX,

Case Type: I485/I765

Mine has two barcodes: My I485 and I765 Receipt Numbers (starting with IOE)

@HRQX, it also says Code 3 where they will take both pictures and fingerprints. My question is, will the picture that they take on my bio appointment be the ones that they will use for my EAD and Green Card? Or will it be the passport photos that I submitted with my application. I’d like to know if I should look pretty on my biometric appointment day :D

Looks like for EAD, GC, and naturalization certificate it's the biometrics appointment picture:

For a standalone AP document it's the passport photo that was sent-in.

Thank you so much HRQX for helping us newbies navigate this process. I am glad I asked. I will try to look nice on that day 😄
