My son had his interview last June 17 in US Embassy in Manila. He brought the wrong copy of his birth certificate (the old NSO one) instead of the new PSA Birth Certificate copy which he also had but left at home. He was refused for 221g (Administrative processing) and was told to drop off the PSA copy of his birth certificate at 2GO along with his passport. The consul said once they receive it, it will only take 2 weeks for him to get his passport back with the visa stamp on it.

My son dropped the birth certificate and his passport at 2GO the same day after his interview and based on the tracking it was delivered at the embassy the next day, June 18th. It has been more than 2 weeks and we still have no update as to when my son will get his passport back. We can't even track his passport un ustraveldocs. We are now stressing out because we are afraid they've lost my son's passport and documents. My son is also turning 18 this October and he needs to fly soon to become an automatic US Citizen when he arrives here.

Has anyone had the same experience? How long do you usually get your passport back after a request to submit documents to the embassy?

The embassy may say two weeks, but I would write that down in pencil as things rarely get done that quickly, plus with the beer virus BS things are even slower.   Just be patient, keep checking CEAC status.

TRACKING YOUR VISA PACKAGE

CEAC status:  https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/
(note to K-1; once your visa status changes to non-immigrant if the MNL# does not work, use the DS-160 confirmation number for checking status)

To track your visa status on USTRAVELDOCS this link is an option:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp#trackingoptions

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-main-contactus.asp     Enter passport number.

Here is a list for 2GO locations:
http://supplychain.2go.com.ph/CustomerSupport/tools/outlets.asp

Tracking your visa through 2GO:  (2GO tracking may use the MNL#, passport # or UID number from the interview confirmation page)

https://supplychain.2go.com.ph/CustomerSupport/etrace/index.asp

Don't forget about CFO (PDOS) after he receives his passport with visa.

My wife also got a 221g. We sent the requested info on 6/13 and the USEM received it on 6/17, we are still waiting also. They did call my wife to say that they received the documents and that they will be reviewing what she sent.
