I was DQ'd early October 2020. I am also in the F-1 category, daughter over 21 of a US Citizen (mom). I'd like to start this thread for those in a similar position waiting for an interview after being DQ'd during the proclamation/suspension in Jamaica. Last April made EIGHT years waiting and I am just beside myself at this point.

Any news to share? I also got an email in March from the NVC reminding me that I am DQ's and that they'll keep in touch basically until I get an interview date.

Well, Jamaica is still rescheduling interviews that were cancelled last year March. So unfortunately, it seems it's gonna be a long wait. I'm July 2020 and I haven't gotten an interview yet. I know people who are March 2020 and they also haven't gotten an interview so buckle in for a long ride.

WOW!!! Ouch. That is Crazy! I have long held the suspicion that nothing will happen anytime soon. Not this year. Maybe not even next year. But it is sooo frustrating. Literally waiting on ONE interview.. technically the final steps.. sigh.

I've been DQ'd since March 2020. Still waiting on an interview date.

I hope you guys will come back here to share when you've been notified of a date since you're before me. Is your priority date also current? I know people can be DQ'd normally but if their priority dates aren't current, no movement either.

So, just remember, if you're responding... great! But two things to note: Are you DQ'd AND your priority date is current? For example, my priority date is may 2013 (the visa bulletin has passed this date), DQ'd October 2020. If you aren't both of these, your DQ status won't matter much as the NVC won't work to get you an interview date until your priority date is current. CHIME IN! :)

Yeah, my priority date has been current since 2019 but NVC did not send us a welcome letter or notify us so it was months later that we realized and that caused a delay in our case. If it wasn't for that, we may have been able to get through before the pandemic closed everything down. Now, we'll have to wait months. It's almost a year already. Can't even imagine how the people who've been DQ since March feel.

Oh wow. Me too. I became current around November 2019. DQ'd 11 months later. I was even in the states on vacation when it happened but chose to came back. Had I known, I'd have just stayed and adjusted. But I also needed to come back to complete my masters. *cries real tears* Had no idea what was coming.

Seems like it will be a long wait fa real. My wife's PD is October 2017 I believe and DQ'd July 2020. F2A category.

We got two letters from NVC so far, one in about March 2021 saying they would let us know if we have an interview or not in another 120 days...then recently received another email saying we should hear back from them in another 60 days if an interview is available. So hopefully by august we will hear back from them, but just feel its gonna be another extension again. Has anyone received such emails/letters?

Based on the email I was hoping that by October/November 2021 we could get an interview date but if persons DQ'd from March 2020 haven't gotten one yet then..... :(

Also anyone know if its moving much faster for US citizens that are filing?

I didn't get the 120 days email but I got the 60 days email. I was very hopeful when I got it until I realized that they just sent it to everybody. Even people DQ in September and December 2020 got it.

Us citizens are unfortunately stuck too. They've been stuck at DQ September 2020 since February and haven't moved. The only people moving right now are people who request that their case be expedited.

Hmm I see. How do you expedite your case and what grounds would it be based on, to be approved for that? If you know.

This website has all the information you need, including what reasons are acceptable for requesting an expedite and how you go about doing it if you fall under one of the reasons:
