Hello. I would like to ask those who are in F1 category if you have recently requested for expedite to get an Interview schedule?
I am from F2B and my petitioner recently became US Citizen. I submitted the certificate of naturalization last May 27 via NVC Public Form.
I’d like to know how long will NVC respond to expedite requests. Thank you

Change from F2B to F1 category by itself does not make you eligible for an expedited interview.  Did you also submit a reason and the supporting evidence for why your case might qualify for expedite?

We are still planning to expedite after my case has been changed to F1.
I considered this because if I change to F1, my PD will most likely become current by July (compared if I’m under F2B which is still months away).
I asked some who tried it, they just recently got DQ this year. The reasons for the expedite were medical condition of the petitioner (which should be a ciritical condition). They were approved and already had their interview.

I was asking how long it took and if you actually have experience expediting.

I have heard quite recently about this issue and I am considering to give it a try. However, you need to have a strong reason as why you think you qualify for the expedition. One good and convincing reason is if you think your case is in US's current interest.

Yes that’s what I heard, too. Your petitioner must be in critical condition or some have posted in one of our groups that there were cases expedited if you are an USRN. But I’ve not heard if they already received interview schedule (the USRN ones).
