Hello, I cannot update or add information to my timeline and would like to know why. I opened my timeline when I sent my K-1 petition to USCIS and entered the date I sent it on the timeline. In January I received NOA1 and every time I try to add that to my timeline I get the following message at the top of the page (in bright red letters), "One or more of the items in red below is incorrect! Please correct any problems as well as check to see if all your other updates are correct. When you are done, resubmit the form." In the timeline under "USCIS Petition(s) Filed" (where dates are supposed to go) every date I enter is being flagged with the following notice (again, in bright red letters), "Error". The timeline accepted the date I entered for "Date I-129F Sent" but when I add the date for "Date I-129F NOA1 (Receipt)" and try to submit it, an error page pops up stating:

"WARNING: There appears to be a mistake in your form! "One of the dates or entries you entered seems to be incorrect. Here are a few common reasons why:  Some dates may be entered incorrectly or out of order (ex: An NOA2 date before and NOA1 date). Time between when a petition (ex: I-129F) was mailed to the USCIS and the NOA1 (Notice of Receipt) may be too long. NOA1s (the date on the form itself) should be within eight weeks (max) of the date you originally sent the form to the USCIS. Click the button below to return to the previous screen to fix the problem (problems will highlighted in red)."

When I go back to the timeline, both of my dates are marked as "Error".

I am hoping to adopt the VJ Timeline as my record of how my K-1 Visa Journey is progressing but can't seem to get it started after many attempts. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What are the dates you are entering?

Under: USCIS Petition(s) Filed

Form I-129F: Petition for Alien Fiance(e)

Date I-129F Sent2020-10-30  (This date has remained on my timeline since I entered it. It is marked as an "Error" when I try to enter in my NOA1 date.)

Date I-129F NOA1 (Receipt):  2021-01-29  (When I enter this date and hit the "SUBMIT" button I am presented with an error page which advises that I made a mistake and need to go back to the timeline to correct the error.

It seems that my dates are rejected because. "NOA1s (the date on the form itself) should be within eight weeks (max) of the date you originally sent the form to the USCIS. Click the button below to return to the previous screen to fix the problem (problems will highlighted in red)."

Is my only option to make-up and enter a date for my NOA1 that adheres to current USCIS protocol even though I waited 12 weeks for an NOA1?

NOTE: I created and entered a date that was within the USCIS "8 week" response guideline. The edited date was not rejected. I do hope that there is a way to use the actual date of the NOA1 where it belongs on the timeline because I must have become somewhat obsessive about dotting the "t"s and crossing the "i"s when it comes to Visa related forms.

I'll update the max delta right now.  Try updating again.
