Changing Petitioner Address before NOA2

I was wondering how risky is it to change the petitioner's address before NOA2? Of course, my fear is that any RFE would not be sent to the new address and I would miss it. Have address changes generally been smooth? Is it best to change address online than follow-up with a call?

Also, if there is an RFE sent will I see that in my case status?

Thank you

Removal of Conditions (I-751)

2/27/24: Extension Letter Available Online, Biometric Re-use letter, "Case is being actively reviewed"

if you have to change address, you change address. Not much can be done and pray you dont get RFE or RFE gets delivered to the right address.

Worst case pitch a tent infront of old address if your online status changes for RFE and hassle the USPS guy at your old address :)for 3 days for your RFE

So the online status does indeed change if an RFE is sent?

I guess isn't better if I see online status change, I call USCIS and let them know to send it to correct address? Wouldn't that work?

File Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card, or online at www.uscis.gov/addresschangefile out address change with USPS, check online status weekly. With that I think you should have everything covered.

Also if you have your email on file, you will get an email if there is an RFE

We got an RFE and received both email and mail notification

yes it will change most of the time when you are sent RFE . get online alerts by setting up an account

USCIS is know to screw up. they will send RFE to old address some times. some Folks have had it happen even though they filed AR-11. USCIS is miserable in that aspect.

At least if I know a RFE has been sent by checking online, then I will know to anticipate it in the mail and if it doesn't come, I will assume they sent it to the old address. In which case I can maybe contact USCIS and make sure it goes to the right address or even worst case scenario bug the people at the old address to look through their mail.
