State ID Requirement for Naturalization Interview

My naturalization interview is scheduled for 15 April in San Francisco and one thing I don't have and was not aware I needed was a state ID. I don't drive and have never needed to in the US so I have never had the need to get a DL. I have only ever needed to present my green card/Irish passport as a form of identification.

I'm starting to worry that this might be an issue? My interview notice did not say I needed a state ID but the USCIS website seems to say I do.

Can anyone provide me with some guidance?

I think you'll find it's an either/or type of list for forms of ID that are accepted.  You are not required to have a DL.

Btw, you can actually get a state ID that is not a DL.  You know that, right?

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Philippines
Timeline

I will have my N400 interview on Monday in LA and from what I see, security staff ask for your appointment letter and a government issued ID prior to be admitted in the USCIS office as standard protocol. I both have a state ID and a DL. You can definitely get a state ID only but I am not sure if you will get in time.

Current timeline:

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍
