Visa Approved but not issued yet.

Hi All. 
my husband has his interview on March 18th and officer told him it was approved. When I checked his status the next day it read “Administrative Process” and  as of yesterday it reads “Ready”. Any idea what this means?

Hi! I’m not sure where you are, but we’re in a similar situation. My husband was also approved at his interview on March 18th at the Buenos Aires embassy. He was told that there is an internal technical issue that isn’t letting them see the medical file (he had the exam and tests done about a month prior to the interview). Apparently as soon as it’s resolved the visa will be issued.

Hi! His appointment was here in El Salvador! They didn’t tell him anything was missing they just said wait 8-10 days until passport can be picked up. I hope your husband’s is issued soon!!

this is pretty normal. give it some time to process and u will see a update once the updatedadet the system.

Remember that visas are not approved and issued  until all administrative processing has been completed after the interview.  They are not actually approved during the interview.  Usually, AP is done within a few hours or days, but could take weeks or months.
