I find that the ignore feature on the site can make for a more enjoyable experience here.  It does make it difficult when they change or get a new username every three of four months.

This is wonderful advice and is very useful not just for the forum ;)

@BOKURAGAITA it's very sweet of your future MIL to offer help. Since we're all stuck waiting and you mentioned your fiancé has some anxiety issues, it may be worthwhile for her to help your fiancé - maybe in the form of being a sympathetic listener, helping him get treatment (?).

Much depends on his relationship with his mom, of course. You guys would know best what would be appropriate.

Thank you @Adventine yes she is a sweetheart very kind.

My fiancés history was a long time ago, for personal reason because of his past marriage he got a treatment and i didn't ask further about it since he is okay now, tho i know he dont like what is happening and the delays. He makes himself busy 😊,comunication nonstop is a big help. Life saver❤

The reason why he dont update his mom and family because he knows we are good and everything is okay, his family only wanted to make things fast and excited for the wedding. ❤

Duterte has little or no influence on internal decisions at the U.S. Embassy.

BTW, travel restrictions have loosened a lot in the past few weeks.

Now that's funny..........

The curfew has always been in Manila, even when I was there from November - February.  Most things closed by 10pm, malls would close by 7pm usually.  I think the worse thing that has been implemented is you can no longer hold your gf or wife's hand in public, nor kiss her.  PDA is not allowed in public to help slow the spread.  Doesnt matter if you sleep in the same bed or live in the same house.  More completely ridiculous rules that do nothing.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

I bet the bring in some revenue from the COVID crisis.  I have said all along the Philippines is using this COVID as a money maker, I see the US is forking over money right and left for COVID. I am sure the mayors and politicians are lining their pockets with it.
