G-1145 Question

I have already submitted my application online and received NOA1. Is it too late to submit G1145 so that I can receive texts and emails? If so, is there any other way to request text/ email notifications or am I stuck with mail? Thanks in advance.

Once you receive the case number,  create an online uscis account

But don't I technically already have an account since I submitted my application online?

Don't worry about filling the form to send. We just filed online without  submitting G1145 but we only used the receipt number given to us by USCIS to monitor our case and when our case was approved, approval notice sent to the address provided while filling the form online and email also received from NVC via our subdivision online. So relax and use the receipt number to check your case status with USCIS case status. Hope this helps you
