Hi everyone! I am currently in the process of pre-employement. Signing documents for the company that I am applying at. I got my citizenship last Sept 2020. Due to covid, i’ve never had the opportunity to change my immigration status at Social Security. Is it necessary to do it now? Will it affect my employement? Or should i just wait till everything clears up?

You do it when everything is normal again. They don’t even let you make appointment for low priority services like updating your status anyway.

Won’t be necessary as long as you use your US passport, passport card (get one), or naturalization cert as your column A I-9 document.  If you offer your SS card and it has the “not valid for work” annotation, it will complicate your life.
