Hi guys I have another silly question

We sent NVC a county clerk certified copy of our marriage license. however on the interview checklist it states we have to bring the original marriage license. Does this mean the certified copy that we uploaded to NVC or the original one we filed with the county clerk ?

would a certified copy be sufficient??

It would be an original certified copy of a "Marriage Certificate", not a Marriage License.  Often they are both on the same page, but a license is not a marriage certificate.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

In Texas they only give us a Marriage License which we get signed by someone who has the authority to perform weddings.  We take the signed license back and it is filled. I’m just worried that the co won’t accept a certified copy from the county clerk

A certified copy is what they really mean when they say “original”.  No one has the original as that is kept at the clerks office.  Also, as @pushbrk stated, once the wedding occurs and you file the signed license with your local clerk, it now becomes  marriage certificate.

Correct.  The license and certificate are on the same page, with Marriage Certificate at the bottom.  Take a look.
