Stimulus Checks for AOS applicants?

Hi there my PD is before i 944 implementation,  so i want to know, my wife going to file join taxes and she said we will get stimulus checks becasue of Social Security.

So my concern is by getting stimulus check is it going to impact my case regarding public charge inadmissible grounds ?

Just one more thing if someone is filed i944 then he take stimulus check, is he going to get affected?

Will receipt of stimulus funds under the CARES Act count against me for Public Charge?

• No. Receipt of stimulus funds is a tax credit.

• Tax credits are not taken into account when determining if someone is a public charge.

Yep it is a tax credit so if you make under a certain amount and have a SSN and file taxes you qualify. If you don't have an SSN you have until mid October to file. I am currently waiting for my kids SSN's so we can file taxes and get the stimulus and tax credits. It's an extra $5k of free money we don't want to lose out on.

No, it is a tax credit given to those who filed regular 1040, or residents defined by IRS, which is different from immigration definitions. It's not a public charge.
