Good afternoon, my case was expedited and approved, and I have my interview scheduled for February 9, 2021. On my last years taxes (2019) I did not make the required income for the affidavit of support but, for the year 2020 I got a new job so with both incomes I was able to meet the required income but, on my nvc notes it says I do not meet the required income to sponsor the immigrant. For the members on the affidavit of support I listed my two children, ex husband which I also sponsored, my niece, my husband, and me. This year I will not claim my niece because I moved and she does not live with me, so for the interview should I take a new affidavit of support form and explain there are less members now because I won't be filling with my niece this year and will that help meet the income?

You are confusing two issues, past tax filing and current income, presumably the issue is with your current income.

Sounds lie you comfortably meet the I 864 requirements.

My reported income with both jobs was 48, 596 for 2020 my current income is 54,600

NVC is just referring to your 2019 tax return.  Take the 2020 return and a current pay stub to the interview and you'll have no worries on the financial score.

Hi Jessica,

Congratulations on getting the expedite request approved and setting up the interview. I hope it goes well for you guys! I'd think to bring as much proof as you can of your current salary and also of your niece no longer being your dependent. I have a question, how long did it take for the embassy to give you a response regarding your expedite request from the date you received an email from the NVC that they sent it to the embassy? Did you have a lot of documentation to support your reason?
