timeline to get an interview

We have files for a cr1 visa and are done at the NVC how long before we get notice of his interview and how will he be notified.  I know he will get his packet but how does it come to him.  Also has anyone had any experience with age difference  I'm a few years older than my husband .

This is the process.  Time to interview depends on the backlog at NVC for your consulate.

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date....by email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

BTW looking at your timeline you wrote NVC received in September 2020 but you paid the AOS and IV in May of that year so the dates needed adjustments / can't pay the IV and AOS until NVC has the packet

US Embassy Accra has only started scheduling non-expedite interviews for those with DQs (Case Complete) from between Dec 2019 and March 2020. Waiting to see what interviews they schedule next week.

 

Unfortunately we do not get very good data for Ghana because individuals don't fill out their timelines.
