I have seen several mention that the Manila Embassy asked for PSA CENMAR, so I was going to order it online.  Am I correct in that it won't expire if I get it now and don't use it until 2022?

The reason for getting it now is only because I am going to stock up on original PSA documents before we move to the U.S.  Birth certificates, marriage certificate, etc.  I will probably have inventory of 3 of each when we move.  Cheap insurance just in case we need it later.  Harder to get when we are in the U.S.

Only valid for 1 year, should state this on the document.   With that said the embassy tends to want the CENOMAR/CEMAR to be no older than 6 mos., nothing official in writing to support this but many have reported back to having been required to provide a new document when it was older than 6 months < this seems to be at the discretion of the CO during the interview.

Copies of the PSA birth certificate are good to have once in the USA.  In the states a copy of the marriage certificate does not have to be from PSA .. just a photo copy  ;)

Thanks Hank!  I will have to hold off on that one until later.

So what happens in this case when your fiancé/fiancée is a flight away from Manila? Are they actually required to reschedule and fly back incurring extra expenses with hotel/travel or can they simply email something?

Submit the missing evidence via 2go courier

???

They will receive a 221g email/letter during the interview (email arrives after) that states to go to PSA to obtain a new CENOMAR, the instructions will state to deliver the new CENOMAR with a copy of the 221g to 2GO for delivery to the embassy.   Some times the embassy will request PSA to send the document directly .. not always.

Get plenty of those documents before you move. We had a dozen of the birth certificates and marriage license six years ago and down to one now as we are getting ready for submitting the dual citizenship.  You can order more online at ~$20 each plus a FedEx account for them to bill or if you have a relative they can get them at ~$7 each locally and ship the FedEx for $30. We just got five more each that way. Needed to provide a letter and copies of the passports for the authorization.

Thanks, I was thinking about just having 3 of everything but based on your advice, I will get more!

You are in Florence?  I lived in Florence 2010-2012 before I retired and move to the Philippines.  Down off of Pleasant Valley Rd.  Winters are too cold for my wife there so now I am moving the family to San Antonio next year.

Moved to Florence three years ago. Small world. We are off Pleasant Valley in the Hearthstone subdivision which was being built around 2012.

Five more years until I retire and move to Palawan. Maybe things will be open by then :)

I have been here in Subic Bay for over 8 years now.  I like it a lot because living on the old U.S. Navy base is quiet and peaceful.  Main reason for moving is to give my 4 and 6 year old girls more opportunities.    We are hoping to visit Palawan before we leave, when things open up a bit.
